I've been busy with other things for a while. Doing this interview with an old student of mine made for a pleasant break from the heavier side of life. In it we cover more than a few of my pet topics. Click the pic to take a look or follow the link here ...
The interviewer is the "PE" featured as one of my quoted students on the home page of this website. I remember when I first met him he was keen to point out that he hated playing in front of other people. Within a year he was out gigging, and to this day is a regular on the local scene as the guitar man of Warwickshire's "Little Swing Band with a Rock & Roll Attitude", Kate and the Mooncats. Old Swanner.
It's striking how the student who once hated playing in front of others ended up gigging regularly within a year. That shift suggests performing anxiety isn't fixed, but something that fades through repeated low-stakes exposure rather than waiting to feel ready. I'm curious whether the teacher deliberately nudged him toward small audiences early on, or whether the change came mostly from the student's own decision to keep saying yes to playing opportunities.

I keep seeing Toronto SEO discussions about Google Business Profile optimization because map visibility can be an important source of calls and local customer inquiries.
